The Fort Christmas Historical Society is planning to put on Cracker Christmas this December.  
 Entrance is free, free parking across the road from the park. BBQ pork sandwiches, chicken filets, community groups have baked goods, drinks, hotdogs, gator, sweet pickles, etc. Pioneer demonstrations - broom making, blacksmiths, basket weaving, rope making, spinning, quilting, lace making, wood carving, and many more. Large craft fair with over 150 crafters with handmade items, the Christmas Post Office will have a booth so you can get your Christmas cards hand stamped, antique engine and tractor display, and much more.
 

The Florida Historical Society will be under the big pavilion displaying and selling books published by the Florida Historical Society Press, all of which explore various aspects of Florida history and culture. Our most recent titles include: Dispatches From Beluthahatchee: A Stetson Kennedy Reader, by Susan Brandenburg and Sandra Parks; The Spanish Seminole: The Untold Story of the Spanish Indians as Shared by a Descendant, by David Rahahę•tih Webb, and Jonathan Dickinson's Journal: A God's Protecting Providence (1700) and "Travels of Severall Persons" (1696), by Amy Turner Bushnell and Jason Daniels.  Other books that will be available can be found at www.myfloridahistory.org/catalog
