Folder 1                Andrew Jackson letter to Joseph M. White dated 12/29/1825.  Comments on “deeds of public men.”

 

Folder 2                7 letters from prominent men of Jacksonville to

                             Frederick T. Davis re: his book on history of Jacksonville.  Includes Letters from Marcus Fagg,

                             R.P. Daniels.

 

Folder 3                Souvenirs from Brevard Hotel, Cocoa, Fl. from 1960.

                             Includes room key, stationary & menu.

 

Folder 4                200 page tax book from Cocoa, Florida dating from 1912-1914.

 

Folder 5                Legal documents, Mississippi Territory includes subpoena for Anton Colon, Gov. of Pensacola, to appear, dated 8/1816.  Uriah Blue is defendant & Elijah Lloyd is plaintiff.  Most of document is in Spanish.

 

Folder 6                Hyman Eastman 5 letters written in Jacksonville from 1850-1852.  Reports on tourism & costs of running a rooming house for “health tourists.”        Includes lengthy letter from Calvin Oak.

 

Folder 7                Conch fisherman of Riviera Beach, Florida.  Written in 1938 by Veronica Huss for the WPA Federal Writer’s Project.  10 page typescript with original photographs.

 

Folder 8                Union Bank of Tallahassee document undated & unsigned.  22 page legal opinion relating to bank.

 

Folder 9                Robert Raymond Reid diary from 1833-1835.  Typescript done by the WPA in 1939.  Excellent detailed account of life in Territorial Florida.  Reid, at this time was Judge of District of East Florida.
