2022 Cracker Christmas

The Fort Christmas Historical Society is planning to put on Cracker Christmas this December.  
 Entrance is free, free parking across the road from the park. BBQ pork sandwiches, chicken filets, community groups have baked goods, drinks, hotdogs, gator, sweet pickles, etc. Pioneer demonstrations - broom making, blacksmiths, basket weaving, rope making, spinning, quilting, lace making, wood carving, and many more. Large craft fair with over 150 crafters with handmade items, the Christmas Post Office will have a booth so you can get your Christmas cards hand stamped, antique engine and tractor display, and much more.

The Florida Historical Society will have a booth there displaying and selling books published by the Florida Historical Society Press, all of which explore various
aspects of Florida history and culture. Our most recent titles include: Box Broken Open; The Architecture of Ted Pappas by Tim Gilmore with Mark Pappas, Discovering ASJ Allen: A Story of Skinfolk, Kinfolk, and Village Folk by Alonzo Felder,  The Biography of John Wayne Mixson: Florida's 39th Governor by Sid Riley, and An Englishman in the Seminole War by Randal J.
