PRESENTATION BY SANDRA PARKS

Educator and writer, Sandra Parks, will discuss the life and legacy of her  late husband Stetson Kennedy.   In the 1930s and 40s, Kennedy traveled throughout the state of Florida collecting folk tales and oral histories from Cracker cowmen, Seminole Indians, Greek sponge divers, African American turpentine industry workers, and many others.  An activist as well as an author, he also infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan and exposed their secrets.
