Discover Florida, formely the Florida Historical Library Saturday Lecture Series

Discover Florida is produced by the Friends of the Florida Historical Society under the direction of Dr. Ben Brotemarkle, Executive Director of the Florida Historical Society. The program brings speakers to the Florida Historical Society who approach the issue of “Florida Life and Culture” from a wide range of disciplines, including history, public affairs, law, sociology, criminology, anthropology, literature, music and art. Its overall objective is to create an opportunity for members of the community to listen to, interact with and learn from leading scholars and specialists in the state’s history and culture.
